We learn from our predecessors.

During the most glorious period of art history, The Renaissance, the greatest artists used to keep "workshops" - the term meaning an artistic coterie throbbing with art - where the "maestro," at the peak of creativity, taught his pupils the secrets of his art.

The greatest talents of the Renaissance attended "workshops," where they learned technique and drew inspiration from their forerunners. Some of the most important "workshops" of the Renaissance included that of II Ghirlandaio (where Michelangelo started to work) and that of Piero di Cosimo (who taught Andrea del Sarto).

The Renaissance workshop tradition continues today at the Studios of Florence Sculture d'Arte, where world-renowned master scuptor Giuseppe Armani guides and supports a team of "selected sculptors."

One of Armani's most talented young artists in the Florence Studios is Fabrizio Tani

Fabrizio Tani was born in 1965 in Vico d'Elsa - a charming small town near Florence, Italy. He was trained in painting in the Institute or Arts in Siena and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence for four years. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 1987 with a degree in "Painting."

Fabrizio is a fervent follower, in both painting and sculpting, of the Renaissance style. As a young sculptor under Armani's tutelage, he is most attracted to sculpting figurines "in motion." Using this characteristic of the "Armani Style" allows Fabrizio to express his own individuality in fluidity of form and dimension.

Fabrizio joined the Florence Studio team in 1989. Since then he has become an important part of the Studio's sculpting team. He has represented Giuseppe Armani and the Florence Studios at a number of Events throughout the world. Most recently, Fabrizio was the featured sculptor at a London Event, which was sponsored by Harrods Department Store. At that Event, he demonstrated his considerable talent by sculpting in clay his own original work of art in the "Armani Style"! Fabrizio's talent was enthusiastically lauded by all who attended the Event.
