The first time Giuseppe Armani stepped into a nightclub in Las Vegas, he was amazed. "I had never, ever seen anything like a Las Vegas floor show, " he explained. "The excitement, the costumes, the staging... the sheer thrill of it was something we just don't have in Italy." There was some concern that Mr.Armani might be put off by the somewhat risqué nature of the typical revue. They needn't have concerned themselves. Giuseppe Armani, the tourist, was enthralled. "I started sketching almost as soon as I got back to the hotel room that night," said Mr.Armani. "There's a pride and bearing in those women that I wanted to capture. They're incredibly sensual and very professional in the way they go about their business. There's nothing tawdry or unseemly about them. If there's one word I would use to describe what I saw that night it was 'glamour.'"
